Concert at Lubber Run Amphitheater

Friday, July 13, 2018

Using such instruments as accordion, tambor alegre, tambora (two-headed drum), bass, and other percussion, this D.C.-based sextet, Gaiteros de Sanguashington,  has become a favorite of D.C.’s Colombian community. Hear such genres as vallenato, cumbia (popular folk music from Colombia’s Caribbean region), and tropipop (a blend of traditional musical forms with foreign Latin genres such as salsa and merengue). The Car-Free Diet team will be there to answer any of your transit, walking, or biking questions. Stop by and say "hi."

Friday, July 13
8:00 pm - 11:00 pm
