Clarendon Mardi Gras Parade-CANCELLED as of 2/11
Tuesday, February 16, 2010
Arlington County is still reeling from the recent winter weather events, so the Clarendon Alliance has agreed to cancel this year's Mardi Gras Parade. Malgre tout, the Alliance and Arlington County Commuter Services (ACCS) Clarendon-based Retail Partners invite you to come on out to Clarendon on Tuesday night anyway, celebrate the Saints' Super Bowl victory, and laissez les bons temps rouler!
When: 8:00 p.m. CANCELLED AS OF 2/11/2010
Where: Parade runs from Courthouse to Clarendon, along Wilson Boulevard, starting near Barton Street and ending between Highland Street and Clarendon Circle
Who: All ages
Fee: Free
What: Join Clarendon's Fat Tuesday celebration by watching floats and Mardi Gras revellers parade along Wilson Boulevard, one half of the Clarendon streetscape proclaimed one of the 10 Great Streets of America by the American Planning Association! The parade is organized by the Clarendon Alliance. Look for the WALKArlington/BikeArlington Crewe. WALKArlington walkers will be pushing festively decorated pedestrian shopping carts, overflowing with beads, candy, and WALKArlington give-aways to be tossed to paradegoers. Don't miss the roll-out of these pedestrian shopping carts, the latest in urban walking accessories!
