Ballston Common Mall is a three-level indoor mall two blocks from Metrorail. Anchored by Macy's Department Store, the mall has many specialty stores, several full-service restaurants, a 12-screen movie theater, and food court.

Take Metrorail's Orange Line to Ballston-MU. At the top of the station escalator, go to your right a few steps to N. Stuart Street. Turn left (south) on Stuart Street, walk past the bus bay area, and continue two blocks to Wilson Boulevard. The mall is across Wilson Boulevard, the entrance is to your left.


Beltway Plaza Logo

Beltway Plaza Mall

6000 Greenbelt Road, Greenbelt, MD

With 115 stores and restaurants, including a Giant Food store, Beltway Plaza Mall has just about everything on your list.

Take Metrorail's Green Line to Greenbelt. Exit the station and take Metrobus C2 (PDF schedule) toward Greenbelt Center to the Beltway Plaza Shopping Center.

Or, if you'd rather walk from the Metro station, cross the parking lot to Greenbelt Metro Drive, follow that away from the station until it ends at Cherrywood Lane. Cross Cherrywood Lane in the crosswalk to get to the sidewalk on the other side. Turn left and walk about a half-mile to the mall.


Chevy Chase Pavilion

5335 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, Washington, DC

Chevy Chase Pavilion is conveniently located over the Friendship Heights Metro Station, in Chevy Chase, the Chevy Chase Pavilion offers a good selection of upscale chain stores. In addition, it shares the neighborhood with many top department stores and great dining options.

Take Metrorail's Red Line to Friendship Heights. Use the Western Ave. & Military Road Exit to the Pavillion.


City Place Mall

8661 Colesville Road, Silver Spring, MD

City Place Mall is an enclosed, atrium-style mall with five levels of retail stores and services, full-service restaurants, and a food court.

Take Metrorail's Red Line to Silver Spring. Exit the station on the south side and walk three blocks northeast on Colesville Road to City Place. If you would rather take the bus from the Metro station, take Ride-On 12, 13, 14, or 16 or Metrobus F4 or F6 (PDF schedule).


Crystal City Shops Logo

Crystal City Shops include over 200 shops, restaurants and cafés, many lining an extensive network of underground walkways connected to the Crystal City Metro station.

Take Metrorail's Blue or Yellow lines to Crystal City.


The Fashion Centre at Pentagon City

1100 S. Hayes Street, Arlington, VA 22202

The Fashion Centre at Pentagon City is an enclosed mall with three levels of shops and a food court, right on Metrorail.

Take Metrorail's Blue or Yellow Lines to Pentagon City.


Fair Oaks Mall LogoFair Oaks Mall

11750 Fair Oaks Mall, Fairfax, VA

Fair Oaks Mall, at the intersection of I-66 and Route 50, features more than 190 specialty stores, services and restaurants.

Take Metrorail's Orange Line to Vienna. Exit the station and take Metrobus 2B or 2G (PDF schedule) toward Fair Oaks Mall to the stop at the mall.


Georgetown Park LogoThe Shops at Georgetown Park

3222 M Street, NW, Washington, D.C.

The Shops at Georgetown Park offer shopping, entertainment, and dining, at more than 80 businesses.

Take Metrorail's Red Line to Farragut North. Exit the station to K Street NW and take the Circulator Georgetown-Union Station Route toward Whitehaven (westbound) to the stop at M Street NW and Wisconsin Avenue. Walk a short distance west on M Street to the shops.

Or take Metrorails Orange or Blue Lines to Farragut West, exit the station to 18th Street, walk one block north to K Street to catch the Circulator, and follow the instructions above.



Iverson Mall LogoIverson Mall

3737 Branch Avenue, Hillcrest Heights, MD

Iverson Mall has clothing and specialty stores, restaurants, and other services.

Metrorail's Blue Line to Addison Road-Seat Pleasant. Exit the station and take Metrobus P12 (PDF schedule) toward Eastover to the stop under the mall's overpass.


Lakeforest Mall

701 Russell Avenue, Gaithersburg, MD

Lakeforest LogoLakeforest Mall has over 160 shopping choices, including stores, restaurants, and services.

Take Metrorail's Red Line to Shady Grove. Then take the Ride-On 57 or 58, toward Lakeforest to Lakeforest Mall at the Lost Knife and Odendhal Road stop.


Landmark Mall LogoLandmark Mall

5801 Duke Street, Alexandria, VA

Landmark Mall features more than 120 of your favorite stores and restaurants.

Take Metrorail's Blue Line to Van Dorn. Then take DASH AT5 (PDF schedule) toward Braddock Road Metro, or DASH AT7 (PDF schedule) or DASH AT8 (PDF schedule) toward Landmark to Landmark Mall. DASH home.


Market Common – Clarendon

2800 Clarendon Blvd., Arlington, VA

The Market Common – Clarendon offers and open-air courtyard surrounded by national name brand retailers, local boutiques, and restaurants.

Take Metrorail's Orange Line to Clarendon. Exit the station to N. Highland Street, walk a short distance south on N. Highland Street to Clarendon Boulevard, turn left and walk two blocks northeast.


Mazza Gallerie

5300 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, Washington, DC

Mazza Gallerie offers more than two dozen stores and restaurants across the street from Metrorail.

Take Metrorail's Red Line to Friendship Heights. Mazza Gallerie is just across Wisconsin Avenue from the station.


Montgomery Mall (Westfield Montgomery)

7101 Democracy Boulevard, Bethesda, MD

Westfield Montgomery Mall is a huge mall with over 200 stores and its own bus facility.

Montgomery Mall has extensive bus service between its own transit center and six different stations on Metrorail's Red Line. PDF bus service information from the North Bethesday Transportation Center.


The Shops at National Place

529 14th St NW, Washington, DC

The Shops at National Place is a three-level shopping mall with more than 100 shops and restaurants.

Take Metrorail's Red, Orange, or Blue Lines to Metro Center. Use the 13th Street exit, walk 1 block south on 13th Street NW, turn right on F Street NW, walk 1 block west, turn left on 14th Street NW and walk a short distance to the mall entrance.

The Old Post Office Pavilion

1100 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC

The Old Post Office Pavilion includes more than a dozen shops and a large food court, in a historic building that is one of Washington DC's top attractions, right around the corner Metrorail.

Take Metrorail's Orange or Blue Lines to Federal Triangle. Exit the station to 12th Street NW, walk 1/2 block north on 12th Street to Pennsylvania Avenue NW, turn right and and walk 1/2 block east.


Potomac Mills LogoPotomac Mills

2700 Potomac Mills Circle, Prince William, VA

Potomac Mills is a bargain hunter's mecca and features outlet stores for over 200 of the best names in retail.

Take Metrorail's Blue Line to Franconia-Springfield. Take OmniRide's Prince William Metro Direct to Potomac Mills (weekdays only). The Metro Direct route is a loop, and buses run in only one direction.


Potomac Yard Center

3671 Jefferson Davis Highway, Alexandria, VA

Potomac Yard Center is located along Route 1 (Jefferson Davis Highway) in Alexandria, Virginia. The center has more than 600,000 square feet of restaurants, movie theaters and shops.

Take Metrorail's Blue or Yellow Lines to Crystal City, exit the station to South Clark Street and take Metrobus 9S (PDF schedule) to Glebe Road and Route 1. Walk one block south on Route 1 to the center. The 9S route is a loop, and the buses run in only one direction.


Prince Georges Plaza LogoThe Mall at Prince Georges

3500 East-West Highway, Hyattsville, MD

The Mall at Prince Georges has three department stores and dozens of specialty retailers and restaurants.

Take Metrorail's Green Line to Prince Georges Plaza. There is a pedestrian walkway from the station that crosses the parking lot and East-West Highway to the mall.


Reston Town Center

Take Metrorail's Orange Line to West Falls Church. Exit the station and take the Fairfax Connector 505 or 556 (PDF schedule) toward Reston Town Center.


Springfield Mall

6500 Springfield Mall, Springfield, VA

Springfield Mall LogoSpringfield Mall is a large indoor mall with three department stores and many specialty stores and restaurants. Beginning in spring 2009, the mall will transform into Springfield Town Center -- an urban, pedestrian-friendly environment where people can live, work and play. The renovated Mall will introduce new retailers as well as top tier restaurants and a state-of-the-art cinema, all surrounded by offices, a new hotel and premier residential homes.

Take Metrorail's Blue Line to Franconia-Sprinfield. Then take the Springfield Circulator (PDF schedule) to Springfield Mall. The Circulator operates weekdays only on a loop. Buses run in only one direction.

Take Metroail's Orange Line to West Falls Church-VT/UVA. Exit the station and take Metrobus 28A or 28B (PDF schedule) toward Tysons Corner to the Tysons Corner Shopping Center Stop.

Tysons Galleria is an upscale mall with more than 100 shops and restaurants.

Take Metrorail's Orange Line to West Falls Church-VT/UVA. and take Fairfax Connector 427 (PDF schedule) to the International Drive & Greensboro Drive stop at Tysons Galleria. Fairfax Connector 427 operates on a loop and buses run in only one direction.


Union Station LogoUnion Station Shops

Massachusetts Avenue and First Street, NE, Washington, DC

Union Station Shops include more than 100 shops and restaurants in beautiful, historic Union Station. This Beaux-Arts style building, completed in 1908, is also a working railroad station and is Washington, DC's most visited site.

Take Metrorail's Red Line to Union Station.

The Mall at White Flint is a three-level, enclosed, regional mall with over 800,000 square feet of shopping and eateries.

Take Metrorail's Red Line to White Flint. Exit the station and walk two blocks south on Rockville Pike to the mall.
