The daily ozone forecast and air quality index report. provided by the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG).

The goals of the US EPA's AIRNOW web site are to: 1) provide real-time air pollution data in an understandable, visual format, 2) provide information about the public health and environmental effects of air pollution, 3) provide the public with information about ways in which they can protect their health, and actions they can take to reduce pollution.

Clean Air Partners of the Washington-Baltimore region is reducing ground-level ozone through voluntary action by business, individuals and government.
"The partnership's primary focus is the promotion of easy and effective voluntary actions that individuals can take to reduce air pollution. Originally known as ENDZONE Partners, it was created by the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) and the Baltimore Metropolitan Council (BMC) to build and broaden awareness of how individuals contribute to air pollution while informing them about the adverse effects of ground level ozone.
We're particularly interested in the factors that contribute to ground level ozone: automobile emissions, gasoline-powered lawnmowers, garden equipment, aerosol and oil-based paints, and solvent-based household products."
