 Promoting your commuter benefits programs is essential for participation, so Arlington Transportation Partners (ATP) helps to promote your commuter services through activities such as employee-oriented seminars, special events, transportation/benefit fairs, etc.
Here's a sample of the help we can provide for setting up a transportation fair:
Transportation fairs are simple tabletop or booth displays filled with brochures, flyers, and giveaways pertaining to alternative transportation options. Your employees will find plenty of helpful information on mass transit, vanpooling, carpooling, teleworking, bicycling and walking, and more.
During the fair, ATP will educate and assist your employees in finding the best commute options for their lifestyles and your business. All you will need to do is: - provide food and drink if time and space allow;
- assist in set-up if required; and
- determine audiovisual needs for ATP as well as for your fellow employees.
 If you'd like to enhance your transportation fair by having ATP provide personalized commuting information to each individual employee, have your employees complete a commuter survey prior to the transportation fair. ATP will then analyze each employee's survey results and provide the information and brochures that match with his/her specific commuting needs and opportunities. Hosting a transportation fair is easy and productive if you follow a few tried-and-true tips: - Plan ahead - Proper planning is the most important timesaving tip for you and your employees.
- Advertise - One way to guarantee getting your employees' attention is by advertising on or in the media they use most often such as:
- A company newsletter
- Intranet
- E-mail notification system
- Post flyers - Design your own promotional flyers using clip art and desktop publishing, and post flyers at least two weeks in advance in places where people gather, such as hallways, elevators, and the cafeteria.
- Personalize - Can you get a list of people who will attend the transportation fair? If so, why not send them a personal invitation to attend? Personalized invitations are much more motivating than generic invitations and they show each employee that you care about their individual commuting needs.
