Best Workplaces for Commuters (BWC)
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) have established the Best Workplaces for Commuters (BWC) program, a voluntary national standard of excellence for employer-provided commuter benefits. EPA and DOT are working with a variety of national, state, regional, and local organizations and agencies--including Arlington Transportation Partners (ATP)--to challenge employers to voluntarily meet the national standard of excellence.
Employers who participate in BWC receive the designation "Best Workplace for Commuters"--a mark of excellence for environmentally and employee friendly companies. Just a few of the companies that have achieved this level of distinction include: - Arlington County Government
- GEICO Direct
- Intel
- The Marasco Newton Group
- National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA)
- Nike
- Government of the State of Maryland
