Just
Who Is Christina Gordon? “Rides in the City” was born from a desire to spice up an otherwise dry
subject matter (What, transit, boring? Never!) and to give public
transportation a younger, hipper face. Instead we ended up with Christina,
so that’ll have to do.
Gordon is a self-proclaimed transit guru, who can regularly be found
shuttling herself around the Washington, D.C. region on various modes
of public transportation. Her experience varies from being a daily
transit rider to working for , as the Residential Marketing Manager,
to preaching transit sermons to friends and family whenever possible.
She is a native Washingtonian (a rare breed) who still lives and works
here. She’s been writing most of her life (although those third
grade memoirs have yet to win a Pulitzer Prize), most recently for
Solutions newsletter since 2002. In her spare time, she can be found
listening to (worshipping) Cher or riding the rails en route to the
latest shoe sale. In addition to shoes, she also has an affinity for
coats, hats, and handbags. |
