Arlington History Bike Tour – Self-guided tour along a 22-mile circuit through Arlington, passing through Rosslyn.

Freedom Park – Rosslyn Skywalk, access from 19th & Kent Sts.

Key Bridge – spanning the Potomac River between Rosslyn and Georgetown, with wide sidewalks for pedestrians and bicyclists.

(NPS Photo)The Marine Corps War Memorial (Iwo Jima Memorial) The Marine Corps War Memorial stands as a symbol of this grateful Nation's esteem for the honored dead of the U.S. Marine Corps. While the statue depicts one of the most famous incidents of World War II, the memorial is dedicated to all Marines who have given their lives in the defense of the United States since 1775. Marshall Drive, next to the Netherlands Carillon, between Rt. 50 and Arlington National Cemetery. Admission: Free.

Officially dedicated on May 5, 1960, the fifteenth anniversary of the liberation of the Netherlands from the Nazis. Marshall Drive, next to the Iwo Jima Memorial, between Rt. 50 and Arlington National Cemetery. Admission: Free.

Rosslyn Spectrum Theatre and Meeting FacilityA vibrant performing arts venue offering live theatre and music in the evenings and on most weekends, available for daytime meeting rentals, and occasional evening and weekend events on an "as available" basis. 1611 N. Kent St.

Rosslyn Highlands Park – 1529 Wilson Boulevard. Small urban park.

Theodore Roosevelt Island Parkoff George Washington Parkway, between Key Bridge and Teddy Roosevelt Bridge. Admission: Free.

WALKArlington Map and Guide for Rosslyn – Conveniently-sized booklet that includes memorials, public art, architecture, history, parks and plazas, things to do, transportation and links to useful information.


Arlington's urban villages are walkable, mixed-use neighborhoods well served by public transportation. People who live in these neighborhoods are able to walk to shopping or to restaurants and hop on Metrorail, Metrobus or ART when they need to go anywhere else in the Washington Metro area.
